Besondere Anwendung: Touch mit Fingertip durch die Glasscheibe!

Der SL-Sensor befindet sich hinter einer bis zu 2,5cm dicken Platte aus Glas, Plastik oder einem nicht leitenden Material wie bspw. einer Fensterscheibe, so dass der Benutzer nicht in direkten Kontakt mit der Hardware kommt. Der besondere Aufbau dieses Touchscreen bietet eine Schlagfestigkeit bis zu IK10, was einer Aufschlagenergie von 20 Joule entspricht.

Dadurch wird der Einsatz von Touchtechnologien auch in neuen Umgebungen möglich, ohne dass die Technologie der Gefährdung durch Witterungseinflüsse, Vandalismus oder Verschmutzung ausgesetzt würde. Die Eingabe kann auch mit Handschuhen, schwerem Werkzeug und leitenden Geräten vorgenommen werden.

Besonders im Bereich der Nahrungs- und Getränkeindustrie sind die Anforderungen an die Anlagen und deren Geräten bezüglich Dichtigkeit extrem hoch. Gerade hier sind Bediengeräte mit SL-Touch oder SL-Schutzglas mit IP 69K sehr gut geeignet. Sie halten dicht – Temperaturschwankungen und hohe Dampftemperaturen haben keinen Einfluss auf die Funktion. Aggressive Reinigungs- und Desinfektionsmittel beeinflussen auch langfristig nicht die Funktion

SL - Touch® touchscreens are based on projected capacitive technology which enables the pointing device to sense through an optical protective screen in front of the display. This manufacturing technology is unique and offers significant benefits to electronic display manufacturers. The touch-sensing layer consists of an array of microfine wires that are not visible on a powered display.

Unlike other touchscreens using a capacitive system where the sensing medium is on the surface of the touch panel, the active component of the SL- Touch® sensor is embedded for protection – and can be up to 20mm from the touch surface.

Not only does this technology produce a highly dependable, low-maintenance system, it also offers unrivalled protection against a wide range of physical threats – a cost effective solution for the most demanding touchscreen applications.
